Since 1968, First Floors Carpet One Floor & Home has been part of the North Texas community. As a family-owned business spanning three generations, we believe being a good neighbor means finding ways to contribute beyond our everyday work. We're proud to support organizations that improve lives and recognize the dedication of those who serve others.
First Floors Carpet One is proud to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization that honors fallen military members and first responders while helping catastrophically injured veterans and first responders rebuild their lives. Through its Smart Home Program, the foundation provides specially designed, mortgage-free homes that accommodate the accessibility needs of severely injured service members and first responders.
Our team was honored to contribute flooring to a smart home built for Army Staff Sergeant Justin Casares and his family. This project gave us the opportunity to contribute our flooring expertise to a home designed to help a deserving veteran enjoy greater independence and a more accessible living environment.

Born and raised in Texas, Army Staff Sergeant Justin Casares joined the U.S. Army in June 2007, inspired by the events of September 11. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division and 1/143rd Airborne Regiment, earning numerous military honors throughout his career. In June 2015, Justin sustained severe injuries during airborne operations when his parachute became entangled with another soldier's. After numerous surgeries and years of recovery, he underwent an amputation below the knee.
Justin and his wife, Karli, are raising their four children: Wyatt, James, Liam, and Evelyn. Through the Tunnel to Towers Smart Home Program, the family received a custom-built, mortgage-free home tailored to Justin's accessibility needs. Beyond providing an accessible living environment, the home removes the financial burden of a mortgage and gives the Casares family a place to build their future together.
We're grateful to have contributed to this project and to have played a part in creating a home that better accommodates the Casares family's needs.

First Floors Carpet One is also proud to support Heroes Ranch, an organization in East Texas that provides outdoor recreation and fellowship opportunities for injured and disabled veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, first responders, Gold Star families, and their loved ones.
Through activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping, Heroes Ranch makes outdoor experiences more accessible, giving participants and their families opportunities to spend time together, connect with others, and create lasting memories. We're glad to support an organization that helps those who have served their country and communities enjoy meaningful experiences with the people closest to them.
First Floors Carpet One began in 1968 as a small family business founded by certified flooring installer Bob Dobson. Today, his son, Richard Dobson, continues the family's legacy, bringing his own experience as a certified installer to the business. Across three generations, our family has remained dedicated to helping homeowners and businesses throughout North Texas.
